In reviewing our achievements of this year and reflecting on our future directions, I would like to start off by acknowledging our employees. Their commitment played a critical roll in E-JAM’s progress. There have been particular moments where I have been especially proud of what the company has achieved because of their interactions. Hard work lies ahead in 2008, as we strive to put more Jamaicans to work. On behalf of the Management team, we thank you all for your efforts and look forward to working together in the New Year.

ARE WE CONFUSING MEN ABOUT THEIR ROLE IN SOCIETY?
There has been a lot of talk lately in the media here in Jamaica about the marginalization of males in our society. In fact, this has become rampant in many countries.
Are we confusing men about their role in the world as media images of stupid, or abusive fathers degrades and minimizes masculinity?
Boys are falling further behind in school, spending more time in remedial classes, have a higher dropout rate than girls; more are on drugs and more are in jail.

E-JAM APPLAUDS NEW GOVERNMENT'S PLAN TO CREATE AN EDUCATED WORKFORCE
Bruce Golding, our New Prime Minister promised that he would create an educated productive workforce; attract investors that create real jobs; eliminate corruption; etc.
Jamaica has recently entered a new political era, after having been governed by the PNP (People’s National Party) for eighteen years. The country voted on September 03, 2007 to elect the JLP (Jamaica Labour Party) headed by Bruce Golding.
Jamaicans must unite as a country to make learning accessible and affordable. Only through collective efforts and new thinking can we meet this challenge.

E-JAM Welcomes Home Their Workers!
We congratulate the majority of our returning workers for doing a good job and making our country proud.
During the past few weeks, scores of E-JAM’s H2B workers returned to Jamaica after completing their work assignments in the U.S. For some, this was their second, third, and fourth time on the work program.
“When I went to the Hilton Hotel, Marco Island, Florida, at first I had problems adjusting to the new environment. After a short while my job as a housekeeper got easier and the experience became more exciting. I am now back in Jamaica and I can’t wait to return to the U.S. E-JAM has opened up a new world for me, which has helped me to become a better person – I attribute my achievements to E-JAM – Thanks E-JAM.” - Nadine Campbell
