Getting Started

REGISTER ONLINE


In order to process documents faster, we are encouraging all of our applicants to correspond and submit documents online. We’ve tried to make your online application as easy as possible; you are able to log into your account at any time to edit, or continue the application process. If at any time you have a question, or problem submitting your documents contact support@ejamgroup.com, you will receive prompt assistance.

 

Step 1 - Registration


To start the process you first need to register - the following documents are required for Registration:

  • Completed Registration Form
  • An updated typed resume
  • Copy of passport, including any previously issued USA visas (valid up to 6-months after return date)
  • Head shot passport size photograph (face camera directly and smile – photo taken within last 6mths)
  • JA $2,500.00 (or US$30.00) Non-Refundable Registration Fee.
  1. Create an account by registering online with a personal login and password then follow the instructions to complete the registration form. Upload your resume, copy of valid passport and photograph. (You can login at any time to upload additional required documents).
  2. After you have completed your registration form, pay your non-refundable registration fee of JA$2,500.00 (or US$30.00). You can pay by credit card using our secure online payment system. Payment can also be made at any RBTT Bank in Jamaica, (see Fees and Payment Options for account numbers). If you made direct bank deposit you will need to upload, or fax 876-795-0217 a copy of your bank payment receipt.

 

Step 2 - Application Procedures


Additional Required Documents:

  • * Completed Application Form
  • * Signed Terms and Agreement
  • Proof of student status
  • Program Fee Deposit of US$400.00, applied towards Program Fee (see Fees and Payment Options).

** Must be signed by a parent or guardian if student is under 21 **

 

  1. Once your registration information is received and reviewed and if you meet the eligibility requirements, we will immediately send you via email an Application Form, Terms of Agreement and other relevant documents for you to complete and return, along with proof of your US$400.00 deposit; which will be applied towards your program fee.
  2. Print and complete all documents submitted, then scan and return via email as an attachment to support@ejamgroup.com, or log into your online account and upload the documents; including a copy of your bank payment receipt.  All payments must be made immediately upon submitting an application, (see Fees and Payment Options).
  3. You application will not be considered complete until all above supporting documents are received.  Securing a preferred job is based on a first come basis.  Complete application package and deposit must be received by January 15, 2012.
  4. When applications are received, they are carefully reviewed and screened, (incomplete applications may be delayed until the necessary information is received). Once payment has been verified, an E-JAM representative will contact you for a telephone interview before presenting your application package to our sponsors/employers.
  5. After your interview, you will be notified of available positions and given the opportunity to make your selection. Please note that your chance of getting your preferred position and location is determined by how soon you apply.
  6. Often times, employers, or sponsors will conduct their own interview, either by telephone, webcam, or in person (you will be notified in advance with time and date of interview). Once you are assigned a job you will be sent a confirmation job offer letter from our sponsor, or the employer.

 

Upon request from E-JAM at a later date: J1 Work and Travel Program

  1. Police and Medical Reports
  2. Airfare Deposit of US$400.00
  3. Two references (i.e. teacher, coach, tutor, employer, supervisor, etc.)
  4. Visa Voucher
  5. Departure Certificate from Ministry of Labour after receiving the J1 Visa.

Students are responsible for all travel expenses, airfare and ground transportation. Flight arrangements will be booked by E-JAM. Individuals whose family members would like to buy the students airfare will need to inform E-JAM in advance by emailing information to support@ejamgroup.com. Airfare deposit of $200.00 will be required by April 15, 2012 – the balance due immediately after flight reservation is made by E-JAM.
NOTE:

  1. Deadline for Registration - January 15, 2012
  2. Deadline for Completed Application Form, back up documentation and deposit – January 15, 2012
  3. Deadline for balance of Program Fee - March 15, 2012
  4. Deadline for Airfare deposit – April 15, 2012

We encourage students to submit all required documents on time to allow sufficient time for visa processing.
